The Chippewa Federation met Thursday, December 17, 2015, at the LCO Lodge and Casino Convention Center on the Lac Courte Oreilles Indian Reservation. Sokaogon Tribal Elder Fred Ackley offered an opening prayer. The Waadookodaading Youth Drum sang both a welcoming and traveling song.

Sokaogon Chippewa Tribal Chairman Chris McGeshick presented LCO Chairman Mic Isham a Mole Lake tribal flag. The presentation kicks off the process of collecting each Band’s flag to post at future Federation meetings. Chairman McGeshick also presented each Federation governing member with a gift of manomin (wild rice) and a Christmas ornament. The ornament featured a picture of LCO Chairman Mic Isham and a good friend of Isham’s.

The Federation continues to address the social, economic and political issues affecting the member tribes.
